The Start of September

The week in pictures

Being silly whilst slamming, exploring The Netherlands by train; first stop The Hague - with its Dutch orange carpet, spending time when at home (Oudedijk 141b Party House) admiring our rooftop view of Rotterdam, and Alexander!

This isn't HOLLANDaise sauce.

I found myself interested in the condiment aisle of Albert Heijn this week. Expecting to find great amounts of Hollandaise sauce (when in Holland?/Its French but nevermind). Instead, I came across heaps of this stuff. For Rose Rig; you'd love it here!

RotterFAM

I was lucky enough to have a visit from this moron this week. As well as looking at Rotterdam from a high mast (see the beautiful view that is behind Mr Magoo's face above), we partied down Witte De Withstraat and up on Oudedijk 141b Party House's rooftop. Further fun was had at the IMAX, as I enjoyed The Dark Knight rising for a third time, and Alex handed out CVs to language institutes in the hope to teach English to jolly Dutch students. A fun, as well as productive, visit from the 'daaaaaaaaaaawg'.

Mijn Fiets

Alex managed to get hold of a bicycle from a typical Dutch 'junkie' - they're reowned for selling bikes at 3 o'clock in the morning around the centre for 10eur a 'fiets'. To the right are some pictures of the cycling system they have here; separate lanes and lights for all the dodgy bicycles to use.
