The week in pictures
Another excellent week in Rotterdam. Some things I went and did:
Mainly a week of exploring the city. Tanisha left for Spain, but only after making furniture for her lovely new room at Oudedijk 141 Party House [my 'pad' for the next four months]. Further exchange relations as Vitnija lands in Holland. I admire familiar flags and surnames, and cry over onions whilst going Cuban. Below features pleasant art, Rottz, and fashion fizzy pop.
The Road Leeds to ...Cuba
In an effort for a more dynamic blog, and because themes are wonderful, I have been a little Cuban for the past week. With slight investigation, further recipe research, and plenty of Buena Vista Social Club, I let the road go off path to Cuba.
1. Cooking Cuba - My Brazilian friend Deborah's history is closer to the Cuban country than mine, so I felt she was an appropriate partner to make Frijoles Negros (Cuban Black Beans) with. We specifically ate our salad starter on a plate (do as the Cubans do), and then fried up some cuisine.
2. Creating Cuba - Our finger nails are now the colours of the Cuban flag. Deborah models her white starred thumb. Bar the star, our finger nails are the colours of the British, French, and Dutch flags too. International babes
Play this, and then mambo to some classic Vista.
What the DAM
Rotterdam hosts its own 'Walk of Fame'. I exclaimed 'What the DAM' when I saw Fleetwood Mac's hands embedded on the floor..
