The family Easter weekend was spent in Barcelona this year, a much more tropical destination that usual. It was Dad's birthday on the 29th, and with Rob, Al, Christina, Mum, I, and even James in toe (he did miss his first flight, but got there eventually), he seemed to have an enjoyable celebration.
James and I
Initially we did a lot of strolling about the place, and drank Coca-Cola's in Barceloneta near Alex's flat. Mildred (Mum) managed to secure us with a luxurious apartment on Avenue Paral'lel, so when not being tourists, sometimes we'd just pretend to be back in 12 Berkeley Crescent and hang about in a living room. It was cracking (eggs). Christina, Mildred, and I spent our Saturday tanning on the open-top bus tour that took us across the entire city, and on Sunday we all ventured to the beach and exfoliated our skins.
Our little holiday was eggs-cellent. Reverting back to home comforts and attempting to be some sort of European family was very merry. I felt somewhat homesick cutting the trip halfway to head back to Holland. The week of my exams and assignment deadlines I had two fantastic visitors though...
The Road Leeds to Rotterdam!
What the Dam!...Its Salerno Tay (Ellie!) and Nabil Man of Steel! Both of which came for a brisk sight seeing venture to Rotts and we had an AWESOME TIIIIIMEEE. There are no photos included - but see below for Nabil's thoughts on the trip, or CLICK HERE FOR A DIRECT LINK.
And Nabil brought me some Yorkshire tea!
