Now that Round II of Rotterslam has begun, I am able to create some sort of guide to the city I have returned to as 'home'.
1. Drink coffee, like you do in any other city
The Dutch are the second biggest coffee drinking nation in Europe apparently, after the thirsty Danes. So although you can do it anywhere, you should really do it in Rotterdam. Visit Hopper for a delicious kopje koffie.
2. Explore the wildlife
Don't visit Blijdorp, the zoo full of birds.
Visit Bird, the club full of Dutchies.

3. Do something not so Dutch
With the city being only half full of Rotterdamers and the rest internationals, its worth doing as the locals do, which isn't necessarily Dutch at all. Guinness at Paddy Murphy's, lads?
4. Enjoy the city by someone else's bicycle
5. Go see Erasmus
Who gives a monkeys about his bridge? You can see the Erasmusbrug on Google Images. So instead see an actual statue of our favourite scholar at Erasmus University Rotterdam or in the city centre. At the moment he is covered in snow, so that's a laugh.
